What is Showdit?
Showdit turns one product into a publish-ready short-form video — it writes the script, voices it, adds captions, trims the silence, and renders a vertical 1080×1920 video automatically.
How is Showdit different from general AI video generators like Runway or Higgsfield?
Runway and Higgsfield are general-purpose AI video/image generators — you still write the concept, direct each shot, and assemble the final cut yourself. Showdit is purpose-built for one job: turning a product into a complete, publish-ready commerce short. Describe the product and Showdit handles the script, hook, voiceover, captions, and edit end-to-end in one pass — no shot-by-shot prompting.
Do I need any video editing skills?
No. You add a product (and optionally a photo) and Showdit handles scripting, voice, captions and rendering. There is no timeline editor — by design.
How does it work?
Pick a format template (or let Showdit auto-pick one), add your product name and an optional photo, and you get a publish-ready short in seconds.
Which languages and markets does it support?
English, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian — real native-language script, voice and captions, not translated subtitles. Built for e-commerce sellers across Southeast Asia, Korea, and the US/EU, on any storefront (not just Shopify or TikTok Shop).
How much does it cost?
Credits scale with cost, not a flat 1-per-video rate — a standard short (default script quality) costs 3 credits; AI moving video costs more (11–28, depending on style and length). Monthly plans with credits that roll over: Basic $9/mo (10 credits ≈ 3 shorts), Starter $19/mo (25 credits ≈ 8 shorts), Brand $49/mo (150 credits ≈ 50 shorts), Scale $149/mo (625 credits ≈ 208 shorts). A free daily short lets you try it before paying.
How do I publish the videos?
Download the rendered MP4 and post it yourself, or connect your channels once and Showdit auto-publishes to YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. TikTok connects too, but posts privately until Showdit clears TikTok's app review.
Can I use my own product photos?
Yes. Upload a product photo and Showdit generates new scenes around it — different backgrounds and settings per cut — while keeping your actual product looking the same throughout. Without a photo, Showdit renders a styled animated background instead.
Is the short really tailored to my product?
Yes — the hook, script and captions are generated for your specific product, while the visual format and direction come from the template you choose.
How long are my rendered videos kept?
Free plan: 3 days after both downloading and publishing, 5 days if you've done only one of the two, 7 days if neither. Paid plans: 7, 10 and 14 days respectively. We email you before a file is removed, and the exact expiration date is always shown on the video's page. Your script and details are never deleted — you can re-render anytime.
